I grew up in a small town in Eastern Washington.  I won my first camera, an Ansco, for winning a magazine selling contest in junior high school.  From then on I have loved taking pictures.  I enhanced my picture taking love with education through the University of Washington Certificate Program in Photography and with ongoing education at the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle.  I also have had some of my work shown in various juried exhibitions including the annual Enumclaw Arts Commission exhibit (I won first place in 2003), Northwest Women in Photography organized by the Frye Art Museum and the International Exhibit at the Western Washington Fair.

Many of my images are slides or film negatives.  Prior to the digital age I developed and enlarged my pictures at Photographic Center Northwest.  I now use a digital camera or a film scanner, run my images through Photoshop and print enlargements using a photo printer.
